Living Green Walls & Exterior Planters at University of Tampa

The University of Tampa enhanced its campus with living green walls and containerized plantings, promoting comfort and biophilia while ensuring sustainability. Ongoing updates maintain visual interest and support student well-being in Florida's climate.

Client Overview

The University of Tampa is a private institution in downtown Tampa, FL, known for its beautiful riverside campus and modern approach to student life. Their team wanted to bring that same energy to the outdoor experience—adding greenery that made the environment feel more habitable, cool, and welcoming.

The Project

We designed and installed a mix of living green walls and containerized seasonal plantings throughout key areas of campus. From walkways and gathering spaces to exterior lounges, the goal was to make the campus more comfortable and biophilic—without sacrificing durability in Florida’s challenging climate.

Key Features

  • Multiple living green walls, built for both aesthetics and sustainability
  • A curated mix of seasonal color rotations and tropical foliage in large containers
  • Strategic placement to enhance high-traffic areas, improve visual flow, and encourage students to linger outdoors
  • Durable plant selections chosen to withstand heat, humidity, and rain while remaining lush and healthy year-round

Ongoing Impact

We provide seasonal updates to the container gardens to keep things fresh and relevant with the time of year, creating an always-changing backdrop that supports student well-being and adds beauty across campus.
